Listing #46922
Vehicle Description

This Black Jade 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was factory ordered with a 428ci Super Cobra Jet Ram-Air V8 paired to a C-6 automatic transmission and a 3.91 Traction-Lok rear differential, representing one of Ford’s most serious performance configurations of the era. Originally delivered to Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island, this example is one of only six known to have been ordered in a similar specification. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2014 and underwent a comprehensive restoration in Florida completed over an eight-year period, with fewer than 50 miles driven since completion.

Finished in Black Jade, the exterior retains its aggressive Mach 1 identity with a matte-black Shaker hood stripe, hood pins, Mach 1 grille, Mach 1 graphics, and tinted glass, all contributing to its factory performance-oriented appearance.

It rides on 14-inch styled wheels wrapped in F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires, maintaining an authentic period-correct stance. The car is equipped with power steering, while braking is handled by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums. Suspension and braking systems were fully rebuilt during the restoration, ensuring a refreshed and capable driving experience.

Inside, the cabin features high-back bucket seats and an optional Sport Deck rear seat trimmed in black vinyl with Clarion knit inserts. The dashboard is finished with woodgrain accents, and an original-style AM radio remains in place, preserving the car’s factory-correct interior character.

Recent maintenance completed in March 2026 included replacement of the under-dashboard wiring harness, printed circuit board, and voltage regulator, along with tachometer repair and installation of missing or incorrect hardware. Supporting invoices totaling approximately $6,000 are included in the documentation.

Power comes from the legendary 428ci Super Cobra Jet Ram-Air V8, equipped with a high-lift camshaft, mechanical lifters, cap-screw connecting rods, and a strengthened rotating assembly developed for Drag Pack specifications introduced after February 20, 1969. The engine stamping corresponds with the vehicle’s VIN, reinforcing its authenticity.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a C-6 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential, providing strong acceleration and classic big-block Ford performance.

Accompanied by an Elite Marti Report, owner’s manual, and a clean Ohio title, this 1969 Mustang Mach 1 represents one of Ford’s most desirable high-performance configurations, combining rarity, documented provenance, and restored condition.
